About
When I was trying to decide which eReader to purchase I noticed the Nook had an option for lending eBooks. Naturally I didn’t bother to research the restrictions on lending eBooks, but it was one of a few reasons that swayed me to make the purchase over other eReaders.
My wife asked “Who are you going to lend and borrow eBooks with? You don’t know anybody else with a Nook.”
“Surely there’s a site out there I can sign up on, and if there’s not I’ll make one,” I smirked, not willing to give her a foot hold in her assault against my long coveted eBook reader purchase.
Obviously I didn’t find a great solution in my quest, and thus Lend eBooks was born. I hope we can all enjoy a lending and borrowing eBook frenzy! Registration is FREE! At the moment eBook lending is limited to eBooks bought from Barnes and Noble. These eBooks can be read on their Nook eReading device, iPad, iPhone, a computer, or anything run on the Android OS (this includes many phones and other eReaders). I believe this sort of feature is important to consumers in their switch from paper to digital. If book sellers want to sell more books at a lower cost to themselves then they’ll all need to expand this type of ability. When eBook lending features grow so will this site.
If you know of any other way to LEGALLY share eBooks, I would love to hear about it.
Happy Reading!
